July 10, 1785 - To the Sheriff of Beaufort County --a claim against the estate of Joseph Ballard, for one pound, 18 shillings and 9 pence in Hyde Court at Woodstock Feby. Term as John Ballard, adm'r., began a suit against William Condery and dismissed his suit, therefore he became liable for the costs and charges of said suit by Caleb Foreman, Clk.  (on the back the Beaufort Co. sheriff returns the paper stating that he knows of no such man in the county)
July 15, 1800 - Bill for making two coffins to John Ballard, administrator of Joseph Ballard
