Bertha Midyett was the daughter of Little Samuel Midyett, Sr. (1825-1882) and his 2^nd wife, Emma Sparrow (1842-1881).  Bertha was born July 24, 1874 and died November 25, 1935 [see death certificate].  Bertha married Charles Adams Swindell (1871-1950) in Hyde County on November 22, 1893 and to them was born one son, James Morgan Swindell (1895-1937).  After Bertha's death in 1935, Charles A. Swindell married Ruby Cox Wells of Faceville, Georgia on November 9, 1936 and then married for the 3^rd time to Martha Matilda Adams on September 16, 1940.
