David Sylvester & Missouri (Williams) Jarvis, Jr.

(September 25, 1850 - March 25, 1918)

David Sylvester Jarvis, Jr. was the son of David Sylvester Jarvis, Sr. (1820-1873) and Kittura (Dailey) Jarvis (1809-1884). He was married to Missouri Williams (1855-1939) on Oct. 19, 1872. They were the parents of one son and two daughters. David was a farmer and lived on Farrow Road in Swan Quarter Township. He is buried in Soule Cemetery.

Missouri Williams was the daughter of Benjamin Williams (1832-1870) and Rhoda H. Gibbs (1838-1871), and the wife of David Sylvester Jarvis, Jr. (1850-1918). They had six children, but only three lived to adulthood: Florida Helen (1875-1945), Jerome Edmond (1880-1957) and Ruby Helen (1882-1969). Missouri is buried beside her husband in Soule Cemetery.
