Albert Cartwright Credle was the son of George Tilson Credle and Martha Etta Mae Cartwright. Albert married Sallie Mary Gibbs, daughter of Henry White Gibbs and Cora Eva Carawan.

Together Albert and Sallie had the following children:

• Thelma Gladys Credle was born Oct. 30, 1912. She married Richard Berry Fulford, Sr.
• Sidney Arthur Credle was born June 19, 1916. He married Pauline Silverthorne.
• Edith Pearl "Sissy" Credle was born April 9, 1919. She married Woodrow Wilson Best.
• Albert Bryce Credle was born July 7, 1924. He married Virginia Jennette.
