Edward Lee Clayton was born Oct. 4, 1930 in Hyde County and died Feb. 28, 2017 in Beaufort Co., NC [see obituary].  He was born to James Clayton (1895-1959 (see death certificate) & Lillian "Lillie" Gibbs who were married in Fairfield, NC on Nov. 21, 1915.  Lillian was born Aug. 5, 1899 and died Sept. 10, 1969.

Edward Fitzgerald Clayton, son of Edward Lee & Lizzie (Benston) Clayton, was born Feb. 8, 1973 and died in Glynn Co., GA on Aug. 30, 1996.  He never married and is buried in Clayton Cemetery in Hyde Co.
