At a meeting of the Wardens of the Poor for St. Georges Parish at Swan Quarter in Hyde County at the Court House this May 25th 1852
    Present: A.B. Swindell, Green Bridgman, Jesse M. Jordan [listed as "dead" on page 119], John Benson, Wm. H. Buffalow

Proceeded to organize the Board of Wardens by electing A.B. Swindell & Green Bridgman County Wardens & Will. H. Credle (Clk) of said board

November Term 1852

A meeting of the Wardens of the Poor was held at the Court House on Swan Quarter for the purpose of appointing a warden of the poor in the place of Jesse M. Jordan, deceased, and were present at the meeting--
    A.B. Swindell, John Benson, David S. Gibbs, William Buffalow, Green Bridgman

And resolved that we appoint Simeon H. Ritch to fill the vacancy of Jesse M. Jordan, dec'd., as a warden of the poor for the County of Hyde.  This November the 30th 1852.
