vendue of Polly Richardson, dec’d. Jesse Sikes, Reg. Acct. Sales 
John H. Richardson administrator of Polly Richardson, Dec’d., being duely 
sworn says the foregoing Statement is a true account of the sales of the 
property of said Deceased sold Oct. 19th 1876 on a credit of six months 
this 25th day of July 1877. John H. Richardson

Mary "Polly" McGowan (c1805-1876) was the daughter of Job McGowan of Gum Neck, Tyrrell County, North Carolina and the sister of Joseph, Hardy and Nancy E. McGowan. She married by 1828 to Willoughby Richardson (c.1803-by1870) and they were parents of:

1. William Richardson (b.c. 1830) - m. Mariah Cahoon;
2. Joseph Richardson (b.c. 1831) - m. Elizabeth Jones;
3. Jane Richardson (b.c. 1835)
4. John H. Richardson (b.c.1836) - m. Nancy Jane Simmons & Elizabeth Ann McGowan;
5. Olive Richardson (b.c. 1840) m. Robert William Jones;
6. Calvin Richardson (b.c. 1842)
7. Carolina Richardson (1846-1879) m. Samuel Brickhouse.
