All are deceased but not forgotten. Uncle Henry lived to be 100 years, Aunt Nita lived to be 101 years and just passed away last year. My father (Jesse Jr.) passed away in 1985 and he was 84 years old. My grandfather Jesse was a brother of Milton B. 'Mitt' Carawan.  Jesse and Milton were the sons of Benajah Carawan and Nancy E. (Dukes) Moreslender Carawan and a Great Grandson of John Carawan I of Hyde County.

Question: Has anyone ever found any records of who Benajah Carawan's father could be?  For years I thought it was Green Carawan, but there are others who think it was Mannen Carawan.
