Return to Hyde County

Ocracoke Lighthouse Cemetery
(Behind the Ocracoke Lighthouse)

In 1973 when In Memory Of....An Index to Hyde County Cemeteries was published, the Francis O'Neal, Jr. Cemetery and the Fulcher-Gaskill Cemetery were listed as two separate cemeteries.  These photos were taken in August 2012 by Marla Walker Beasley and the two cemeteries have now been combined and sit right behind the Ocracoke Lighthouse, therefore I have just called this cemetery the Ocracoke Lighthouse Cemetery.  Google Maps for directions.  (Information in brackets is taken from In Memory Of or other records.)
