MR. LAUCHLIN B MONROE DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER - 1937

	Raeford.-- Lauchlin B. Monroe, 84, a member of one of the largest and most prominent families in upper Robeson, now 
Hoke, and Cumberland Counties, died Thursday evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A.M. McBryde 
of Shannon. He was a grandson of the late Lauchlin Bethune, and is the last membr of his immediate family. Surviving are 3 
daughters, Mrs. John Campbell and Mrs. Ira Davis of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Augustus M. McBryde of Hoke county, with whom he 
was making his home when he died.
	The funeral services were conducted at the McBryde home Friday afternoon. Burial was in Dundarrach Presbyterian church 
cemetery the Rev. A.D. Carswell conducting the funeral services.
