In the Name of God Amen - I JOHN TONEY of the <torn> of Halifax and State of No. Carolina being of Sound and perfect <torn> and memory do this 20th of
August 1823 make Ordand and p<torn> this as my Last Will and Testament in manner and form foll<torn> viz: Item. I give and bequeath to my Son CHARLES's
children ten <torn> Item 2d. I give and bequeath to my Son MATTHEW ten shillings <torn> 3d. I give to my Son KINCHEN ten shillings - Item 4th. I give <torn>
bequeath to my Son WILLIAM ten shillings - Item 5th. I give <torn> to my Son ARTHUR ten shillings - Item 6th. I give and bequeath <torn> Daughter NANCY
CARTER <torn>hillings - Item 7th. I give and <torn> my daughter POLLY Ten <torn> - Item 8th I give and <torn>th Ten shillings - Item 9th. I give to my
daughter MARTHA <torn> Shillings - Item 10th. I Lend to my beloved Wife the Residue of my Estate during her natural life and after her decease it is my will
and desire that my Son ISRAEL should have it. Lastly I make and appoint JESSE BRADLEY my Executor to this my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and
