These graves and their relocation to Bethel were described in an article, "Dick Family Graves Moved," by Raymond D. Donnell, published in the Guilford County Genealogical Society journal, Vol. 16, No. 1, Fall 1988, page 38.

"In 1986 a Dick family cemetery was located by searchers who included information found in the publication Family Burying Grounds and Abandoned Church Cemeteries in Guilford County, NC, and Immediate Environs.  ....  In the spring of 1988, the North Carolina Transportation Agency finalized plans to improve the access to and from Interstate 85 at the Rock Creek Dairy Road.  Their work will include the area of this cemetery.

"Arrangements were made with Bethel Presbyterian Church, Guilford County, NC, to relocate the remains to their church cemetery.  The removal and re-interment was accomplished in June 1988.  The graves are in a south-north line at the back or far west side of the cemetery, and the point where the center service road turns to the north exit.

"Eight markers were located in the thickets of the original site....  The stones were laid flat and embedded in concrete."

The data from the Donnell article is quoted above.  The Dick Cemetery's location was described in the Family Burying Grounds publication, recorded 1976, as "in the S. E. angle of the intersection of Rock Creek Dairy Road (No. 2066) and I-85, within the right of way of each road, concealed by high grass and blackberry bushes, and west of the abandoned old roadbed which abuts I-85, directly opposite a service station on the north side on I-85...."  (page 25)
