GASTON COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - St. Benedict Cemetery St. Benedict Cemetery, McAdenville Highway, Belmont, Gaston County, North Carolina, near the intersection of McAdenville Highway and the north-bound I- 85 exit ramp. There is a small sign at the dirt drive of the cemetery stating St. Benedict Cemetery. Surveyed by Philip Underwood-Sheppard on April 9, 2001 with the assistance of Timothy Alan Sheppard. This cemetery is in relatively good condition. Most of the burials are in plots rather than rows. I started in the back of the cemetery with Individual Row 1 and then moved to a series of plots, completing rows within the bordered plots. "Individual Row" means a row outside of a plot; "Plot Row" indicates a row within a plot. Information between the [ ]s is provided by the surveyor.
