(on fieldstone) unknowns marked with fieldstones Note from above: Adam Cloninger,Jr., along with his 2nd wife, Elizabeth, were found in June 1985 in an old Cloninger-Long cemetery just north of Dallas, NC, off Hwy.321 about 1/2 mile. Old gravesite was found by Terry Waldrop family. Witnesses when placed in Cloninger-Derr Cemetery in July 1985 were: Paul E. & Rean C. Rhyne, Ray & Becky Rhyne Hovis, Tom Cloninger & Sara H. Grissop. Permission was granted by Mr. Robert Land to move grave markers to Cloninger-Derr cemetery due to so much vandalism and destruction of old gravesites. The two Cloninger markers were the only ones that were not broken.
