Surnames: YOUNG
Submitted by: Melanie Young
Email address: MoodyYoungClan@aol.com
Date : 29 MAY 2005

Query: I am searching for anyone with information on Jareld Young.  He
had around 12 children, three of whom were Robert, Moody, and Macklin.
I believe that my great great grandfather, Moody Young, was Jareld's
son.  Moody is not a common name.  Other indications that this is
correct are that Moody is enumerated with his brother Robert in
Madison County, TN in 1850, listed as having been born in NC, and they were
also listed as carpenters.  Another is that Moody had a son whom he named
Macklin S. Young.  Macklin isn't common either!  I have tracked
Jareld's son Macklin (who was listed as a carpenter in the 1850 census - farmer
in later ones) to Franklin County, NC and I am pretty sure that the
family was from that area.  My uncle told me several times before he
died that he was pretty sure that the family was from the area around
Youngsville, NC.  Turns out he was probably right.  Does anyone have
any information?  If so, my email address is MoodyYoungClan@aol.com.  If
you do, you will have MANY thrilled West Tennessee relatives!
Thanks!
