U. S. COLORED TROOPS - FRANKLIN COUNTY

 

The following is a listing of some of the soldiers who were born in Franklin County, North Carolina, and who enlisted to serve in what was known as the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War.  Most of these men were apparently living in other locations when they enlisted, and these records could possibly give a clue to where their families originated from, or relocated to.
