Franklin County Deeds

 

FRANKLIN COUNTY, NC - LAND, Debnam to Hartsfield, 25 Feb 1836

This Indenture made and entered into this the 25th day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and Thirty Six between Thomas R. Debnam of the County of Franklin State of North Carolina of the one part and James Hartsfield of the same County & State of the other part. Witnesseth, That the said Thomas R. Debnam for & in consideration of the Sum of Nine Hundred & Fifty Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt for Which Sum is in Virtue of of these presents duly acknowledged hath bargained Sold and Conveyed & by these presents doth absolutely bargain & sell to the said James Hartsfield and his Heirs forever One Certain Tract piece or parcel of Land being in the aforesaid County of Franklin adjoining the lands of Amos Wheless & others it being a part of the Lands Knew as teh John Williams Tract Containing Two Hundred & Seventy five acres more or Less to have and to hold the aforesaid Lands with all the appertinances thereunto belonging to him the Said James Hartsfield free from the lawful Claim or Claims of any person or persons Whatsoever and the Said Thomas R. Debnam for himself His heirs executors or administrators herey Covenant to & agree to and with the said James Hartsfield that he is at the time of Signing & Sealing these presence Possessed of a good sure and perfect state of inheretance in fee simple of in & to the said Tract of Land and that he will warrant the Same to the Said James Hartsfield his Heirs and Assigns forever. In Witness whereof the said Thomas R. Debnam hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal this day and year above Written
