Looking for info on Paul McKee and his wife Hazel McKee COLE. They were born 1904 and 1906 Died 1987 and 2004. Looking to see if Hazel was born in the COLE House in Eno River State Park plus any family that is still around. Paul worked at the Eno Steam Station before and after they were married in 1929. Any history on these families or any pic’s or  history  about Eno Steam Station will be helpful.

I am trying to find documentation of the father and mother of my third great-grandfather Nathan MCDANIEL. I believe the parents of Nathan were James MCDANIEL and Charity Freeman WELLS. They were married in 1788 in Orange County, North Carolina. Nathan would have been born sometime between 1788 and 1806. James and Charity moved with their children to Parke County, Indiana and lived in Indiana until their deaths.

Charity Freeman WELLS was a Quaker; however, James MCDANIEL was not.

I would appreciate any information which you may have concerning Nathan and his parents.

Thank you,

Sharon McDaniel Corsiglia

“I have found several, around 10 graves in a wooded area near my home. The property was to be developed but has been idle for the past year. How do you go about documenting the buried? I have seen a small headstone the reads, “”At Rest””. And there is a place marker from McLaurin Funeral Home of Durham. I would like to have this cemetery documented. Please help. Thank you.

The property is at the end of Lone Star Drive and across the street from a Church of Latter Day Saints.”

P.S

I wanted to give a correct address for the burial site in the woods. It is at the end of Silver Star Drive and Belgreen Road. In the woods across from the church. The church has no relationship to this property.

“I am seeking information on a Mrs. Louis Walters who reportedly has the old Walters Bible. She has probably done genealogy research in your area. Do you know how I can contact her?”

“WILKERSON family name; my great grandmother was Jennie Lee [DURHAM] WILKERSON. The WILKERSON side of the family is buried in cemeteries just outside Durham as well as in Maplewood Cemetery. I did not see the WILKERSON name on the surname list.

I am researching my family tree and also to learn which family members served in the Civil War; and, if their regiment was ever in Gettysburg (45 minutes away from where I live).

Also, I am trying to find out if there is any family connection between Jennie and Dr. Bartlett Leonidas Snipes DURHAM.
Thanks!”

I had three relatives on my Dad’s side of the family. Aunt Lona WIGGINS ALDRIDGE was a nurse lived in Durham NC yet her death (8/5/1973). Uncle Lan (Leonard Mclaren WIGGINS) died December 30,1970. And there was Uncle Joe (Joseph Barney WIGGINS). I read in some newspaper about Uncle Joe’s death. I believe the death is 12/24/1944- he was shot in a warehouse I believe article said. Now I can not find my source for the article.

My mother’s side of our family tree are the DURHAMS.  My grandmother was Ola Mae DURHAM; her mother was Mary DURHAM.  My understanding is that Bartlett Leonidas Snipes DURHAM is my first cousin, four times removed.  I would like to make contact with other DURHAMS in the Durham NC area.
