I am looking for information on a Mary ALBRIGHT and has been spelled ALBRITE, ALLBERT, ALBERT I have found it spelled different ways. She was married to Pleasant DAVIS Feb. 27, 1865 in Orange county. She had two children when she married Pleasant John ALBRIGHT and Claypool ALBRIGHT. After they married they moved with his children from his 1st marriage and her and her children to Greene County NC I would like to find out something about her, if she was married before and who to. My husband came from her line of her son John, but he took the DAVIS name because her and his sister were so young. Any help would be appreciated..

“Hello,
I’m currently researching one of our oldest (almost) confirmed ancestors. His name was David NUTT. According to an old diary entry from a grandson, he was born to MCNUTT parents. It seems he changed his name sometime in the late 1700′s. As it pertains to Orange County, NC, he was the sheriff (exact year unknown) in the range from 1770′s to 1790′s. Several sources say he was born in Maryland in 1746 and traveled to Pennsylvania, then North Carolina. I am trying to find out more about his early years in hopes of finding out about his parents or siblings. They are listed in several sources, but I can’t find any records of them. David married Rachel CATES, who later moved to Bedford county, Tennessee. “

I am looking for proof of Andrew HADDOCK Sr. (d. 1793) and Elizabeth HICKS (d. 1808?) children. I believe my ancestor, Nancy HADDOCK STANSBURY (b. 1764 and d. 1854) was their daughter. I am hoping to find a Bible record, church record, or other document proving their family relationship. I know Andrew fought in the Revolutionary War. I know Nancy was married in Caswell County, NC.

“I am researching my my 5x Great Grandparents who were John and Margaret WILKINSON, They lived in Orange/Chatham County, NC. And their son, Jacob WILKINSON my 4x Great Grandfather b.1770 in Orange County, NC. He married Amy BRADY (CREAGER?) She was b. in 1773.

My question is, are there any references; books, documents or stories regarding my WILKINSON family. I did purchase “”The WILKINSON Chronicles”” written by Dorothy VESPER Cook in Peru, IN., but it was researched before computers. In the chronicles is John’s will and a few stories of my family line but little regarding
John’s father. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Virginia Hager”
