I, Robert F. Sanderlin, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish, and declare this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all previous Wills and Testaments by me made, that is to say:

Item First,  It is my will and desire that my body be given a decent burial by my executor hereinafter named and all my just debts and burial expenses paid from such money or property as I may leave at my death.

Item Second:  I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Hannah B. Sanderlin all of the real and personal property, consisting o fall land, stack, house and kitchen furniture, farming tools and all of each and every kind of property of which I may die seized or possessed, in fee simple and absolutely.

Item Third,  I bequeath to my said wife Hannah B. Sanderlin the sum of Six Hundred and Fifty Dollars in cash, in addition, to the property real and personal designated in Item Second a set forth above.

Item Fourth:  I give and bequeath to each of my five children Robert C. Sanderlin, Clara Sanderlin, Emma L. Sanderlin, Annie Laura Sanderlin and John T. Sanderlin, the sum of one thousand dollars, to be divided equally among my said five children, and in the event that any of my said children shall die without heirs before my death, it is my will and desire that the said sum of one thousand dollars shall be equally divided among the survivors of my said children.  I appoint Hannah B. Sanderlin my executor without bond, of this my last will and testament.

In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal this July 24th, 1911.

We W.J. Griffin and C.C. Miller do hereby certify that Robert F. Sanderlin subscribed the foregoing last will and testament in our presence and that we, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other hereby subscribe our names as witnesses to the same.  This July 24th1911.

    The undersigned being duly sworn says each for himself: That he was personally acquainted with the late Robert F. Sanderlin, and knows his handwriting, and has examined the handwriting of the said Robert F. Sanderlin on the paper exhibited to them, which purported to be the last will, and testament of the said Robert F. Sanderlin, and in the opinion of the undersigned, the signature of the said Robert F. Sanderlin is in his handwriting; and that they verily believe that the signature to the said last will and testament is in the handwriting of the said Robert F. Sanderlin.

    The undersigned being duly sworn says each for himself; That he was personally acquainted with the late C.C. Miller and is personally acquainted with W.J. Griffin, at the present, and knows their handwriting, and has examined the handwriting of the said C.C. Miller and the said W.J. Griffin on the paper exhibited to them, which purported to be the last will and testament of Robert F. Sanderlin, and in the opinion of the undersigned the signature of the said C.C. Miller and the said W.J. Griffin is in the handwriting of each respectively and that they verily believe that the signatures of the subscribing witnesses to the will of the said Robert F. Sanderlin are in the handwriting of the said W.J. Griffin and the said C.C. Miller.

    Now comes Hannah B. Sanderlin, executrix named in the paper writing aforementioned and exhibits for probate in open court a writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Robert F. Sanderlin deceased; and it is thereupon proved by the oath and the examination of M.R. Daniels that W.J. Griffin, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto is a non-resident of this state, and it is also proved by the oath and the examination of E.H. Peele, Jr. that C.C. Miller, the other subscribing witness thereto, is dead.  And it is further proved by the oath and the examination of the said M.R. Daniels that he is well acquainted with the hand writing of the said W.J. Griffin, having often seen him write, and that the name of the said W.J. Griffin, subscribed as a witness to the said will, is in the hand-writing of the said W.J. Griffin.  And it is also proved by the oath and the examination of the said E.H. Peele, Jr., that he is will acquainted with the handwriting of the said C.C. Miller, having often seen him write, and that the name of the said C.C. Miller, subscribed as a witness to the said will, is in the handwriting of the said C.C. Miller; and it is also proved by the oath and the examination of W.H. Kindervater and T.E. Hines, that they are well acquainted with the handwriting of Robert F. Sanderlin, the testator therein named having often seen him write.  It is therefore considered by the court that the said paper writing, and every part thereof, is the last will and testament of the said Robert F. Sanderlin, and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed.  This 22nd day of July, 1929.

NOTE: Robert Fletcher Sanderlin, son of Jackson Sanderlin and Sidney Lewark, was born in Kitty Hawk, Currituck Co., NC on Jan. 19, 1857 and died in Kitty Hawk (Dare Co.) on June 25, 1929.  He is buried in the Baum Cemetery in Kitty Hawk.  Robert was married 3 times--1st to Harriet S. Daniels (c1854-before 1900) on June 18, 1879 and they had 3 children:
    1. Arthur Marshall Sanderlin (1880-1940) - married 1st Ida M. Tate; 2nd Josephine Corbell; 3rd Phoebe J. O'Neal
    2. Mary Holland Sanderlin (1886-1910) - married Charles Arthur Simpson
    3. Onslow Jennings Sanderlin, Sr. (1890-1944) - married Delila McD. Simpson

Robert married Emma T. Wise (1875-1911) on Jan. 13, 1901 and to them were born 6 children:
    1. John T. Sanderlin - nothing else known
    2. Robert Clifford Sanderlin, Sr. (c1904-19??)
    3. Roland F. Sanderlin (1905-1906)
    4. Clara Eberdeen Sanderlin (1906-1975) - married James Edwards James, Sr.
    5. Emma Leona Sanderlin (1908-1978) - married Lewis Milford Scarborough, Sr.
    6. Annie Laurie Sanderlin (1909-1966) - married a Parks & lived in Pennsylvania

Robert married Hannah Belle Morse (1894-1986) on July 24, 1911 and they had 7 children:
    1. Montrose L. Sanderlin (1912-1971) - married Clyde O. Wilson
    2. Mildred Fletcher Sanderlin (1915-1917)
    3. William Rabon Sanderlin (1917-1994) - married 1st Alma Evelyn Dough (divorced 1959); 2nd Erma N. (Crank) Cahoon
    4. Mildred E. Sanderlin (1919-2005) - married Guy Speight, Jr.
    5. Annie Elizabeth Sanderlin (1919-????)
    6. Mack Donall Sanderlin (1921-1989) - married Mabel L. Morelock
    7. Bessie Bell Sanderlin (1924-1993) - married a Powell
