In the name of God Amen.

Be this my last will and testament.  I William E. Etheridge considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind & memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following,  That is to Say I leave to my wife Elizabeth all of my land and buildings, Furniture & stock of all Kinds and whatever property I may have to have and to hold during her natural life and after her decease and the payments of my Just debts, I give and bequeath it to Polly G. Mann the wife of Samuel L. Mann to have and to hold by her & her heirs Executors administrators forever and hereby leave Elizabeth my wife my Executor of this my Last Will and testament hereby revoking all former wills make by me.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 14th June 1881.

         Dare County       }    In the Probate Court
    A paper purporting to be the last will and testament of William E. Etheridge deceased is exhibited before me the undersigned Clerk Superior Court for said County by Elizabeth Etheridge the Executrix therein mentioned and the due execution thereof by the said William E. Etheridge by the oath and examination of Pharoah O’Neal and Jesse E. Baum the subscribing witnesses thereto who being duly sworn, doth depose and say and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paperwriting now shown him, purporting to be the last will and testament of William E. Etheridge in the presence of this deponent subscribed his name at the end of said paperwriting, which is shown as aforesaid and which bears date of the 14th day of June 1881.
    And the deponent saith that the said William E. Etheridge the testator aforesaid did at the time of Subscribing his name as aforesaid declare the said paperwriting so subscribed by him and exhibited, to be his Last Will and Testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of the said testator.  And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said Last will as aforesaid and at the time of deponent Subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said William E. Etheridge was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent. And further these deponents say not.
