An agreement between Emiline Etheridge of the first part and Samuel Mann and wife Elizabeth of the Second part all of the County and State aforesaid.  I, Emiline H. Etheridge of the first part do give grant and will unto my father Samuel Mann and wife Elizabeth at my death all of my lands on Croatan Dare County.  Bounded on the north by Willis Tillett land, on the South by Edward L. Mann land to contain 150 acres, also all of my household and chattel property.  All of this I give to Samuel Mann & wife Elizabeth as a compensation for their faithful attention to me through my affliction unto my death and Burial, otherwise this will be null and void.  Given under my hand and seal, this 28th day of December 1882.

Dare County}    In the Probate Court
    A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Emiline H. Etheridge deceased is exhibited before me the undersigned Judge of Probate in and for said County by Thomas R. Mann one of the subscribing witnesses and the due Execution thereof by the Said Emiline H. Etheridge by the Oath and Examination of Thomas R. Mann and Avary Tillett the Subscribing witnesses thereto who being dually Sworn doth depose and say and Each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a Subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown herein purporting to be the last will and testament of Emiline H. Etheridge.
    That the said Emiline H. Etheridge in the presence of these deponents Subscribed her name by making her mark at the end of said paper writing which is now shown as aforesaid and which bears date on the 28th day of December 1882.  And the deponents further saith that the said Emilene H. Etheridge, the testator aforesaid did at the time of Subscribing her name as aforesaid declare the said paper writing subscribed by her and exhibited to be her last will and testament and these deponents did thereupon Subscribe their names at the end of said will as attesting witnesses thereto and at her request and in the presence of the said testator.
    And these deponents further saith at the said time when the said testator subscribed her name to the said last will as aforesaid and at the time of the deponents subscribing their names as attesting witnesses thereto as aforesaid the said Emiline H. Etheridge was of sound mind and memory, of full age to Execute a will and was not under any restraint to the Knowledge, information or belief of these deponents and further these deponents say not.
