    I Catherine C. Daniels, of Dare County, North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and testament, that is to say.

Item 1.  It is my will and desire that at my death, my body be given a decent burial and that the expenses of the same shall be paid by my executor herein after named and if any money or property belonging to my estate that may come unto his hands.  Unless the same shall be otherwise provided for by the legatees and devisees hereinafter named.  I also request the burial expenses of my burial expenses of my husband Caroll S. Daniels, settled and of saved unless otherwise provided for.

Item 2.  I give and desire my home and all real estate to Lonnie Clinton Gray.  I want it also to be a home for Chestor Arthur Daniels and wife for  ?.  Lonnie can arrange that.  I also want them to have enough of my personal property to pay them for caring for me during my sickness.

Item 3.  It is my will and desire that my sister Arashebee Doshier have my sewing machine.  I also desire that my sisters Arashebee Doshier and Amelia A. Woodley have each a bed and also my clothing and the portraits of my people divided between them.  It is my desire that all personal property in the house which belonged to my second husband Caroll S. Daniels be given to his mother Victoria Daniels.  The balance of my personal property including one bed, I give to Lonnie Clinton Gray.

Item 4.  I hereby constitute & and appoint Lonnie Gray executor without bond to carry unto effect the provisions of this my last will and testament.  This the 6th Day of September 1915.

The foregoing and attachment instrument was this day declared by Catherine Daniels to be her Last will and testament. And by her signed in the presence of us who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other Hereby signed our names as subscribed witnesses thereunto. This 6 day of September 1915.

NOTE:  Catherine Cynthia Toler, daughter of Pierce & Harriet Toler, was first married to Frederick L. Midgett, on June 17, 1894.  She married Carroll S. Daniels, son of Henry and Victoria Daniels, on August 30, 1908.  This was an African-American family.
