Maude Miller White Postcard

This postcard, postmarked December 3, 1947, was written by Elenora (Barnett) "Nolia" Midgett Manning of Buxton to her daughter, Mary Ruth (Midgett) Brewer who lived in Atlanta, Georgia. The postcard reads:

Dear Mary - not heard from you since I left home three weeks. I may not come home 'till I hear from some of you. I'm enjoying my self and feeling fine. love Mother

Maude Leigh (Miller) White, seen in the above photograph, was born in Buxton Feb. 4 1900 and died there Dec. 29, 1987. Maude was the daughter of Christopher Columbus Miller and Mary Ormond Tyer. Maude married Estus Preston "E.P." White on March 28, 1918 and they had two daughters, Mary and Carol White. [see another postcard photograph of Maude White's home here.]
