William Jardella Ballance & daughters

William Jardella Ballance, son of William Allen Ballance & Leah Jones Gaskill, was born in Hatteras on June 30, 1876 and died there on Sept. 3, 1937.  He married Rebecca Ann Peele (daughter of Wm. E. Peele & Martha "Patsy" Midgett) on April 20, 1898.  Rebecca was born April 12, 1879 in Hatteras and died there June 23, 1912.  To them were born 2 sons and 2 daughters:    1) Rufus Belton Ballance (1899-1948)    2) Walter Jones Ballance (1901-1975)    3) Mary Alice Ballance (1903-1997)    4) Rebecca A. Ballance (1906-1989)
