[Backside of Boo's stone]
"Never Letting Go"

I am a steadfast Christian.  I do believe in God and I do think angels are real.  In the past four years of high school I have had the honor of being friends with two of best guys on the Outer Banks.

Now that this wonderful and exciting day has arrived  I look out among my fellow classmates and realize that they are not there.  One has been out of my life for almost two years and the other for almost a year.  My two dear friends were Rodney Murray and Danny Daniels.

High school has changed over the years and friends have come and friends have gone.  Yet all but these two I can still call or at least write.  But the only thing that I can do with my two friends is visit a gravesite and remember.  Remember the times that we spent together and think of some of the stories I have been told.

For some odd reason though, I don't miss them because I know that they will always be with me in my heart.  In turn, allow me to say this.  As long as your friends are still here on this great day never forget them.  Never let them fade away like smoke in the breeze.  Hold on to your memories and keep them with you forever and always.  /s/ Craig Darrell Parker, Jr.

In Memory of my friends

There's an island down east where the morning comes up like a flame from the sea and no matter where I go wandering, the spell of it all follows me.  My island, fair island of Roanoke.  Your call is from surf and sandhill.  You are calling me, you are haunting me.  I want to come back and I will when the moon is high to the heaven and the night is lonely and still.  A voice from the island keeps calling, you want to come back and you will.  My island, fair island of Roanoke.  Your call is from surf and sandhill.  You are calling me, you are haunting me.  I want to come back and I will.  I am home.  [see obituary]  [see another photo]
