Apr. 2, 1733 - Jan. 6, 1746

In the Name of God Amen.  I Joseph WINSHIP being Sick Of Body And of Sound and perfect memory and Understanding Thanks be God for the same Do make this my Last will and Testament in manner and form following (Viz) first I will That all my Just Debts and funerall Charges be discharged And Paid By my Executrix hereafter Named --

My will And Desire is that my Loving wife Appelone Shall have all my Estate both Real and Personall Dureing her Natural Life and at her Decease to Redown to her heirs For Ever.  I do nominate and Appoint my said wife Appelone Executrix In trust to see this my will Executed and Performed Hereby Revoking And making null And Void all or any other will or wills by me heretofore Made, Declaring this to Be my Last will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand And Seal this 2d Day of Aprill Anno Domini 1733.

  North Carolina  }    At a Court held for the County afsd at the Court House in & for said County on
Currituck County}     Tuesday the 6th Day of January Anno Dom 1746

Present His Majestys Justices
    These may Certifie that John WILLIAMS one of the Subscribing Evidences to the within Will came into Court & made Oath on the Holy Evangelists that he was present & saw Joseph WINSHIP Seal publish & Declare the within to be and contain his Last Will & Testament and that the said Joseph was then at that Time of Sound & Disposing Memory (but says that he did not See the other Subscribing witnesses Sign their Names thereunto).  And further saith that he this Depont proved said Will in ____? Court before this Time while Mr LURRY Acted as Clerk which doth not appear of Record.  Ordered that the Honble Nathaniel RICE Esqr have Notice thereof that Letters Testamentory Issue thereon as the Law Directs.
