A paper writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Willis WHITEHEAD dec'd. is exhibited for probate at August Term 1855 in open court by Aby WHITEHEAD his wife & devisee, by her atty & the execution thereof proved by the oath & examination of Thomas MEEKINGS one of the subscribing witnesses thereto & who states that James BRINSON the other subscribing witness thereto was present & saw the said testator execute the same as his last will & testament at his request & in his presence & that the said testator was of sound mind & disposing memory, it is further considered by the court that the said paper writing & every part thereof is the last will & testament of the said Willis WHITEHEAD & the same is ordered to be recorded.

   I Willis WHITEHEAD being in good and perfect health and of fine mind do in the presence of Almighty God make this my last will and testament that is to say. I do give after my death to my lawful wife Aby WHITEHEAD all my property both real and personal property consisting of lands houses and cattle hogs money household furniture etc. to be hers to use at her disposal forever out of this I do will my sister Rebecca WHITEHEAD one dollar.

   This is my last will made in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three and July.
