George Whidbe of Albemarle Co.
Apr. 21, 1722 - Oct. 27. 1723

In the Name of God Amen I George WHIDBE of ye County of Albramarl in the provins of North Carolina being Sick and weacke in bodey but of perfect minde and memory praised be to allmightey God for the Same and Caling to minde ye mortalety of my Bodey and Knowing that is is apointed for all men onse to dey do make this my last will and testament princably and first of all I Recomend my Soule into ye hands of God that gave it hoping through ye merits of my Savior jesus Crist forgivenes of all my Sins and for my bodey I Recomend to ye Earth to be Buried in a Cristian manner att ye diserescion of my Exicutrix hearafter named and for my worldley Estate that it hath pleased God to give me in this life I give devise and dispose of in manner and forme as foloueth --

Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto my two Daughters Elizabeth and Ann and to thare ares my plantation wheareon I now live and ye Land Belonging to it and my wife being now with Child if it Should be a Boy I give ye aforesaid plantation and land Belonging to it to him and his ares forever and if it Should be a gearl I give and bequeath unto hir a hondrid and thirtey five ackers of Land lying att Cow Ridge.

Itam I give and Bequeath Eeach of my Children before named three Cowes and Calves and a Mare to Each of them.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Richard WHITBEY one yearling Hors.

Itam I give and Bequeath unto Seth FELPEs Sones Each of them a yearling heffer.

Itam I give and Bequeath unto John GARDENER the Son of Jane GARDENER one yerling heffer.

Itam I give and bequeath unto John WHIDBE ye Son of John WHIDBE one yerling Heffer.

Itam I Give and Bequeath unto my Loving Wife Wineford WHEDBE all ye Remaner of my Estate boath Real and persanall unto hir and to hir ares forever and do macke and apoint hir to be hole and Sole Excitrix of this my last will and testament as witness my hand and Seal this 21th day of Aprill anno Dom 1722.

  This will was proved before me William REED President of No Carolina and that the Said Joseph WENSHIPER made Oath as Eveidence that it is the Said Last Will and Testament of the Said George WHITBEY and that the Said William HUDSON and William WILLSON  ___ere Evidences of the Said Will Making Oath of the Same afore me.
