In the name of God Amen, I John WHIDBEE of the County of Currituck Stait of North Carolina being very porely in body but of a sound deposher of mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for it, calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and it being ordained once for all men for to die, I do make and ordain this instrument of wrighting for to contain my Last Will and Testament, first , that is to say, I disanulling and revokeing all other wills and testaments heartofore made by me their by word or righting and this only to be taken as my Last Will and Testament, first, that is to say, I recomend my soul to Almighty God that gave it and my body for to be desently buried in a christain like manner in a place whare it should please my executors hear after named and allso as to worldly estate it hath been please God for to bestow me fare above my deserts, I give and disposing manner and form as followeth.

First my will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges should be first paid in convenent time after my decease

My will and desire that my well beloved Son Elijah BASNETT should have twenty four acres of land begining at Robert BASNETs line on the sound runing with the sound as fare as to include twenty four acres with runing back to my back line next to the sea the saime corse of BASNETTs line for to be as wide at the sottern and [southern end] as the nort and [north end] to him and his heirs forever.

Next my will and desire that my well beloved Son Magor WHIDBEE should have all the rest of my lands to him and his heirs forever, with all the rest of my movable estate to the said Magor WHIDBEE and his heirs forever.

And I also constitute and appoint my loving friend Thomas FARROW and Magor CLARK my hole and sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament to settle all my business according to this my Last Will and Testament and as the law shall require Witness my hand and seal this eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one.
