In the name of God Amen. I Abraham WATERFIELD of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, Planter, being sick but of perfect mind calling to mind the mortality of man and knowing it is once appointed to man to die and having a mind to dispose of all my worldly goods in manner and form as follows.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Zackariah WATERFIELD the plantation whereon I now live together with all the land on the Indian Creek and round nauld(?) two jugs and one case and one cider troff one yoke of oxins and cart one young heffer one small iron pot and fat pot two kettles and one grubbing hoe and one hand saw to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Son Sanders WATERFIELD one mare named Betsey one canoe by the name fairplay two iron kettles and one grubbing hoe one fat pot one bed and furniture first choice to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequath unto my Daughter Sally one bed and furniture second choice and one dollar to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Tully WATERFIELD one dollar to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequath unto my Son Zachariah WATERFIELD one bed and furniture and all the plank I have got to repair the house to him and his heirs forever also one hand mill and two cubborcis(?)

Item. I give and bequath unto my Sons Zachariah and Sanders WATERFIELD five barrels of corn to be equally divided between them.

Item. I give unto my Daughter Julia SPRATT one large wheel to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give the balance of my estate to be sold by my executors and after paying all my debts the balance to be divided between the following children and my Wife Amy namely Southward Caleb SCARBONEs two children Lydie BEASLEY Julia SPRATT Rhody DUDLEY to them and their heirs forever.

I nominate constitute and appoint my friends Jno B. JONES my hole and sould executor to this my Last Will and Testament revoking all others by my name. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused my seal to be fixed this 7th day of December 1829.

    This Last Will and Testament of Abraham WATERFIELD decd was exhibited in open Court and proved by the oath of Andrew CAPPS subscribing witness and ordered recorded when John B. JONES executor therein named came into open Court and qualified in due form of law and order that letters of testamentory issue.
