Jonathan Ward

Currituck Co. Will Book 1, p. 261

In the name of God Amen, I Jonathan WARD of Currituck County being very sick and porely in body but of sound and disposing memory Thanks be to God for it, knowing that it is onst appointed for all men to dye, do make this my Last Will and Testament as follows Viz.

I leave to my well beloved Wife Mary WARD all my estate within doors and without to her during her widowhood and after her widowhood

I give and bequeath to my Son Charles WARD all my land to him and his heirs forever.

And all the rest of my estate I leave to be equelly divided between the rest of my children, Frankey, William, Tulley, James, Peggy, Salley and Stephen WARD to them and their heirs forever.

And do constitute and appoint my Wife Mary to be my hole and sole executrix of this my Last Will and Testament given under my hand this 20th day of May 1791.
