In the name of God Amen, I James WAHAB of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak of body but of sound disposing mind and memory blessd be the Allmighty God for it, calling to mind the none certainty of this life and it being ordaind once for all people to die, I do make and ordain this instrument of writing to contain my Last Will and Testament, disannulling and revoking all other wills and Testaments tofore made by me either by word or writing and this only to be taken as my Last Will and Testament.

First, that is to say, I recomend my soul to Almighty God that gave it and my body to be decently in a christain like manner buried in a place where it shall please my executors hereafter named and as to what worldly estate it hath been please God to bestoe me far above my deserts I give and dispose in manner and form as followeth.

First my will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges should be first paid in convenant time after my decease my will and desire is that my loving Wife Rachel should have one hundred and fifty acres of land to be taken of off the east end of my land including of my plantation and all the improvements thereunto belonging to her and her heirs for ever.

Item I give unto my Daughter in Law Wille COX fifty of land joining her Mothers to her and her heirs for ever.

Item I give unto my respected friend Silas FARROW fifty acres of land joining Willes to him and his heirs for ever

Item I gave unto my beloved Cousin Allin BURRUS fifty acres of land joining Silass to him and his heirs for ever

Item I gave unto my beloved Cousin Thomas WAHAB all the remainder of my lands to him and his heirs for ever

Item I gave unto my beloved Wife Rachel my two negro Harry and Levi to her and her heirs for ever, Likewise I gave unto my beloved Wife Rachel after all my lawfull debts and charges is paid all my moveable estate to her and her heirs for ever.

I also constitute and appoint my loving Wife Rachel and my Hezekiah FARROW JR. my whole and sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament to settle all my business according to this my Last Will and Testament and the law shall require as witness my hand and seal this 8th day of July in the year of our Lord Anno D 1797.
