State of North Carolina Curituck in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine I Edward TAYLOR do make this my Last Will and Testament in the name of God Amen,

Item: I gave unto Wife Dinah TAYLOR during her natural life or widowhood all of my estate within dores and without dores the use of the said property to rase my children clare of expence and after her dece or widowhood to be equally divided amongst the whole of my children.

I leave my sloop to be sold and my young hors and it is my desier that negro Jeffery and Juniss(?) should be hired out yearly likewise live(?) Jesse BARNARD hol and sole executor whereunto I do set my hand seal this first day of March 1809 sind and seald in the presents of us.
