In the name of God Amen, I John STEWART of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die &c. &c. do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Sister Salley STEWART all my lands and plantation and all the remainder of my estate after my debts and charges are paid to her and her heirs for ever.

Item: I desire that all my estate of every kind except my land be sold by my executor in order to pay my debts and Lastly I nominate and appoint my friend Samuel FEREBEE my executor to this my Last Will and Testament I witness whereof I have unto set my hand and seal this 9th day of November 1808.
