In the Name of God aman In the Year of our Lord one Thousond Seaven hundred and fifty Seaven The Twenty fourth Day of August one.  I Jeremiah STEVENS of the County afd Beaing very Sick of Body But of a perfict mind and memory Thanks Be Given to almighty God for the Same There fore Calling to mind the morality of my Body and knowing that it is aponted onc for all men to Die Doe make and ordain this to Be my Last will and Testement in manner and form following that is to Say--prinecapally and first of all I Give and Recommend into the hands of almighty God my Sol that first? Gave to me and for my Body I Recommend to the Earth to Be Buried in a Christain Like and Deceans manner att the Discreation of my Exectr hear after menchioned Nothing Doughting But to Receved? by the mighty power of God.

And as Touching Such worldy Goods and Estate where With itt hath pleased God to Bellss [bless] me with I Give and Bequeath In the following manner.

Imprimis  I give to my Daughter Easter STEVENS one ovel Tabell and all the Cattell that now is in her marke.

Imprimis  I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth STEVENS one Chist Blew paintd and all my Cattell that is in my mark and all the Cattell that is in her marke and one yong mare Call Shine.

Imprimos  My will and Desire is that my young horse Rebel to Be Sold and all my wareing Cloas to Defray my Debets and other Charges--and my Gun Like wise.

Imprims  I Give and Bequeath to my Two Daughters viz Easter and Elizabeth STEVENS all the Remainder of my Estate to Be Equal Devided as afd.

My Will and Desire is that my True and Trusty frend Samuel JARVIS of the County afore Said Be My hole and Sole Exectr of this my Last will and Testement and I Doe hear by utterly Disallow and Disanul anny other to Be my Last will and Testement Confirming This to Be my Last will and Testement.  In Witness Where of I have hear Unto Sett my hand and Fixed my Seall The Day and Date above Written.

   North Carolina  }    To wit: At a Court held for the said County, at the Courthouse thereof, on the Twenteth Day of September 1757
 Currituck County}

Present His Majesty's Justices
    These may Certify that John LURRY Esqr William FEREBEE and John BARNES the Subscribing Evidences to the within Will appeared in open Court and made Oath on the Holy Evangelists that they were present and saw Jeremiah STEVENS Sign Seal publish pronounce and declare the within to be & contain his last Will & Testament and that the said Jeremiah STEVENS was at that Time of sound & disposing Memory.
    Then also appeared Samuel JERVIS  Executor of the within Will in open Court and took the Executors Oath in due form of Law.
    Ordered that Richard SPAIGHT Esqr Secretary of the said Province have Notice thereof that Letters Testamentory may Issue thereon as the Law directs.
