In the name of God Amen, I Labaen SMITH, being very sick and weak but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind it is ordained for man once to die, do make and ordain this instrument of writing to be my Last Will and Testament Viz.
First and principally I recomend my soul into the protection of Almighty God that gave it me hopeing through the merits of a blessed savour to have free full pardon of all my sins, and calling to mind what it hath been pleased the Almighty God to bestoe upon me in this worldly estate I give in manner and form following---

Impremise I give and bequeath unto my belove Wife Mary SMITH the whole of the estate that I got by her also two barrow hogs that is commonly fed at the marsh also that they be fattened with the rest of the hogs also four barrels corn one frying pan and tea kittle to her and her heirs for ever.

Impreons. I give and baequeath unto my Son Laben SMITH my land and plantation at the foot of the great swamp bridge to him and his heirs for ever--and if there should arise any expence in schooling etc. of my said Son more then the land will hire for then and in that case my desire is that there should be a sum of five pounds drawn out of my estate that I have not yet given away.  I also desire that Joseph TAYLOR SEN. at or near Powels Point have the tuetion of my said Son Laben SMITH untill he come of age.

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sary SMITH one bed and bedstead with a bolster, one sheet and blanket that stands in the little room, one blue chest, one small pott to her and her heirs forever.

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Hannah SMITH one bed and bedstead with all its furniture it being the bed I now ly on also one pair of smoothing iron to her and her heirs for ever.

Impr. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth SMITH the bed and bedstead with all its furniture which is now in the chamber also one midling size pot and one skillet also her Mothers gound to her and her heirs forever

Also my will is that the residue of my estate that I have not already given away be sold and the money arising to be equally divided between my three Daughters Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth SMITH.

I also appoint my friends Armstead SOLES and Theophilus CALLAM my whole and sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of October in the year of our Lord 1795..
