In the name of God Amen, I John SIMPSON of the County of Currituck, State of North Carolina, being very weak of body but perfect in mind and memory calling into Mind the mortality of man have taken into mind to dispose of my worldly property in manner and form as follows to wit:

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Ann SIMPSON all and singular the Property that she possed when I intermarried to her which she possed when the Widow Of Moses CASON also three notes of hand in my name one due from Will SIMPSON to the amount of 6 pounds 6 shillings, one due from C. WARD to the of 4 pounds 12 shillings 6 pence and another due from C. WARD to the amount of 5 pounds 13 shillings in Virginia money also I give to her eighteen barrels of good sound marchanable corn, also three hogs barrows first choice after they eat the short corn of my crop, the first choice of my sows, also three the first choice of a second size of barrows, also two cows first choice to her to dispose of at her option.

Item: I give to my Son William SIMPSON one bed bed stead and furniture ther to belonging to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give to my Son Zachariah SIMPSON two beds and their furniture one bed stead belong to one of the beds the other without a bed stead also the plantation and land I own lying on the Indian Creeks which I purchased of Will WICKER also the one half of negro Affrica which I bought of John CASON to be divided between him and my Daughter Abiah SIMPSON also one still also seven stool chairs.

Item I give to my Daughter Abiah SIMPSON one bed and furniture one bed stead also my riding chair and its harness, also the one half of the before mentioned Negro Affrica also one Beaufatt

Item: I give to my before mentioned Son William SIMPSON twelve and a half acres of marsh land lying in Dud Hole Island also one dish.

Item: I wish seven steers sold and as much of my stock of cattle as will pay for Negro Affrica which I bought of John CASON together with what notes I have ___ on hand to be included in said payment.

Item: I give to before mentioned Son Zachariah SIMPSON one sorrel horse and my black horse to my Daughter Abiah SIMPSON also all my sheep to be equally divided between Zachariah and Abiah my Son and Daughter and all the remainder of my stock of cattle to be equally divided before the before mentioned Son and Daughter Zachariah and Abiah SIMPSON also all the remainder of my Property that is not given to be sold by my executors and the monies arising therefrom after my lawful debts is paid to be equally divided between my two children Zachariah and Abiah SIMPSON except one black walnut table I give to my Son Zachariah SIMPSON.

Item: I give to my Wife all my cotton and flac and spun and unspun also the home made cloth that is in the house and all the dung hill stock except my beese to my Son William SIMPSON and Zachariah SIMPSON.

I nominate and appoint my friend Malachi JONES my whole and sole executor to this my Last Will and Testament revoking all other former wills In witness whereof I have set my hand and caused my seal to be affixed this 27th day of October 1804.
