Currituck Co. Will Book 2, p273.

In the name of God, Amen, I Hillary SIMMONS of Norfolk County, Virginia knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty when, do make this my Last Will and testament as followeth,

I give and bequeath to my Son Mitchael SIMMONS all my land and plantation in Currituck County to him and his heirs forever, also I give to him all the things I left with him when I moved into Virginia to wit two Negroes boys Moses and Bob two feather beds and sundry others things to him and his heirs forever and no more he is to have no part of my estate that I have in Virginia, I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 19th day of May Anno Dom. 1797.

This will was proved by the oaths of James PHILLIPS and Samuel FOREBIE in open court to be the hand write of the subscriber
