In the name of God, Amen. I Anthony SIMMONS of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being sick of body, but of sound mind and memory, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows. In the first place, I lend to my Daughter Hester VANDOZIER one piece of land bounded as follows, beginning at mine and Cornelius MERCERs corner on the road and runing down the road two hundred yards, then a parallel course with MERCERs line untill it comes to my Son's line hereafter mentioned, to her my said Daughter Hester during her life, and after her death, I give the said land to the children of my said Daughter Hester. I also give to my Daughter Hester, thirty six dollars to be paid her out off my estate.

Item. I lend to my Daughter Sarah JARVIS one piece of land beginning at a small red oak well known by my family, then runing about a south east course or about down the branch between the road and Acklan's Island to James WHITEHURSTs line, then as his and Samuel FEREBEEs line runs northerly, and so up to the land I have given my Grand Daughter Polly S. CAVENDER and to the road and as the road runs to the beginning red oak, all that part northerly and eastwardly of the first mentioned line, to her my Daughter Sarah JARVIS I lend the said piece of land during her life, and after her death, I give said land to the heirs of my said Daughter Sarah JARVIS.

Item. I give all the remainder of my lands to my Son Anthony SIMMONS. I also give unto my Son Anthony SIMMONS all my negros after his Mothers death, also I give unto my Son Anthony all my farming tools, and one bed and furniture, and one stock of bees.

Item. I lend to my Daughter Hester VANDOZIER one pided heifer, during her life, and after her death I give said heifer and all her increase to the heirs of my Daughter Hester.

Item. I lend to my Daughter Sarah JARVIS one red heifer during her life, and after her death I give said heifer and all her increase to my said Daughter Sarahs children, also I give unto my Daughter Sarah JARVIS one stock of bees that is at her house already.

Item. I lend unto my Daughter Hester VANDOZIER one stock of bees, and after her death I give the same and their increase to the heirs of my said Daughter Hester.

Item. I lend unto my beloved Wife the use of all my negroes during her life, also the use of a piece of land beginning at the main road opposite a large black mulberry tree by the grave yard, to my Daughter Hesters line all the land and buildings to the south of said course next to James WHITEHURST, to go about a west course from the main road.

Item. I give unto my Grand Daughter Polly S. CAVENDER thirty six dollars to be raised out of my estate. My request is that my executrix and executor hereafter named, sell such part of my of my estate (not already given away) as may be necessary to pay my just debts and funeral charges and no more. I also give unto my beloved Wife, my Son Anthony and my two Daughters Hester VANDOZIER and Sarah JARVIS all the remainder of my estate not already given away to be equally divided between them, each party to choose one person to appraise and divide the same. Lastly, I nominate and appoint my beloved Wife and my Son Anthony executrix and executor to this my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of May 1815.
