The Last will and Testament of Mitchel SCOTT dec'd. Exhibited at Currituck May 1833 and Proven by the oath of Davis Ballance MORSE a subscribing witness in due form of Law and the Ext'rs Qualifyed and ordered to be recorded.

In the name of God Amen, I Mitchel SCOTT of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being in a good State of health but in my perfect sences and disposing memory thanks be to God for it do make constitute and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son John SCOTT the tract of land adjoining my son Phillip and grandson Samuel SCOTT containing Twenty Nine acres and three quarters also two beds of which he has one in prosesion one table and chest which he has in possession one cow of which he has in possession.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Phillip SCOTT the land whare I live adjoining my land I give my Son John & Evan SIMMONS land containing Twenty Nine acres & Three quarters to him and his heirs forever also one cow & calf one horse one chest one folding table one befat one pair of dog irons two beads and furniture.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Grand Son Samuel SCOTT son of William SCOTT decd. the land adjoining Willo. WEST and the land I give my Son John SCOTT the tract containing Twenty Nine acres & Three quarters and if my Grand Son Samuel SCOTT should not live to be Twenty Years of age nor have a lawfull heir for the land to return to my Two Sons John SCOTT & Phillip SCOTT also my Grandson Samuel SCOTT fifty dollars.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Sarah SCOTT the sum of Sixty Five dollars to her & her heirs for ever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my two Sons John SCOTT and Phillip SCOTT al the residue of my estate not willed away to be praised and equally divided between them to them and their heirs for ever.

Lastly I nominate and appoint my Two Sons John SCOTT & Phillip SCOTT my whole sole Executors to this my Last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 5th day of December 1832.
