In the name of God Amen, I Ignatious SCARBOROUGH of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak of body but of sound disposing mind and memory blessed be the Almighty God for it. Calling to mind the noncertainty of this life and it being ordained once for all people to die, I do make and ordain this instrument of writing to contain my Last Will and Testament disanulling and revocking all other wills and testaments heretofore made by me either by word or writing and this only to be takeing as my Last Will and Testament, first that is to say,

I recommend my soul to Almighty God that gave it and my body to be decently in a christian like manner burried in a place where it shall please my executors hereafter named and as to what worldly estate it hath pleased God to bless me with far above my deserts I give and dispose in manner and form as followeth--

First my will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges should be first paid in convenient time after my decease.

My will and desire is that my loveing Wife should have the use of all my lands during her life and widdowhood and after her decease I give the aforesaid lands to my four Sons Thomas, Zebedee, Bateman and Ignatious to be equeally divided amongst them to them and their heirs forever.

Item my desire is that my loveing Wife Keziah should have the use of all my moveable estate during her life and widdowhood for the support of my children and after her decease to be equally divided amongst them all.

I also contitutue my friend Thomas FARROW and loveing Wife Keziah my whole and sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament to settle all my business according to this my Last Will and Testament and the law shall require as witness my hand and seal this nineteenth day of December in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred.
