Currituck County

In the name of God Amen, I Joseph SANDERSON of the state of N. Carolina and county aforsd. being in a low state helth but Thanks be to God of a disposing mind and memory, whereas it is once apointed for all men to die in conisequine(?) of that I make this my Last Will and Testament in the first place I recommend my soul to Almighty God that gave it me, and my body to the earth and as for touching my wordly estate that God has ben pleased to bless me with, I dispose of it in the following manner and form.

Item: I lend my dearly beloved Wife Lusey SANDERSON the use of all the rest of my estate within doors and without during her woadhod (sic) and then to be divided in the following manner and form.

Item: I give to my three Sons John, Lemuel and Joseph one two year old maire and increase I also give to my Son John and Joseph one bed stead with furniture, also I also give to my Son John one small gun I also give to my Son Lemuel one small musket.

I also give the rest of my estate that is not all ready given away with all my out standing depts to be equally devoided between my three Sons John SANDERSON, Lemuel SANDERSON, and Joseph SANDERSON to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly of all I hearby constitute nomonate and apoint my dear Wife Lusey SANDERSON and my friend William CHANDLER as whole and soul executors to this my Last Will and Testament.
