State of North Carolina, Currituck County

In the Name of God Amen I John SANDERSON of the County and State afsd. Planter being weak in Body But of a Sound & Disposen mind and Membery thanks be to the Lord for the Same and Calling to mind the Mortallity of my Body and Knowing that it appointed for all Heauman Once to Die and after Deth to appear in Judgement I there fore Reckmend my Sole to Allmight God that it me and my Body to be Buried in Such Christian Like Manner as Shall be to Decreshun of my Exters Heare Hafter Menchand and also Whar as it Hass Plesd the Lord to Bless me with Sum worley Property in Permishan(?) I Bestoe in the following manner

Item. I give and Bequef to my Two Suns Richard and Henry SANDROSUN all my Tract of Land where on I know Live to be Equailly Divided the Wetard Pat to Richard and the Esteard Part to Henray and thare ares forever all so five hundred Acqurs of Banks Land ajoining the Grait Hammock and to be Divided Estard West So as to Split the Hammock Equily Between my Two Suns all so Two Small Pesis of Banks Land to the North Equily to them and there ares for ever all so all my Small Islands of Marsh.

Item. I leave the Euse of my negro Garle Eteer(?) to my wife Scarllea(?) SANDROSUN in Durening(?) of her life or widowhood and then to my sun Richard SANDROSUN and his ares forever.

Item. I leave the right of all the Negros Know in the Hands of Mr. WOODHOUSE that was coming to me by my first wife Sarry to my Darter Sharloty and Hur ares for Ever.

Item. I Give to my sun Henray SANDROSUN one Negro Boy Called Meesus and his ares for Ever and in Case either of my two Sun Shall Deses with out Lawfull ishue of ther Body then estate to go to the Surviving one.

Item. Leve all the Remains of my Land to be sold that is not given away.

Item. And in Case my Dater Sharloty Don’t Git the Negroes from Mr. WOODHOUSE for her to have one hundred Silver Dollars to be Rais out of my Estate and then the Residue of my Estate that aint Given a way to be Equal Divied Share and share alike and I Do Hear By Disunel and Revoke all And Ever Other Will or Wills Heartofore maid By me and Rattyfy this and no other to be my will and Testement Maid in Writing and I Do Heare By Edeniait(?) and appoint Benjin TAYLOR SENR. the whole and sole Exter of this my Last will and Testement in Witness whereof I have hear unto Set my Hand and Seal this 9th Day of January 1801.
