In the name of God Amen, the 15 January 1778. I William ROLINSON of Hatteras banks in the county of Currituck and of the State of North Carolina being very sick and weak in body. But of perfect mind and memory, God be praised and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament. That is to say first of all, I recommend my body to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian like manner at the discretion of my executor and my soul into the hands of God, that gave it. And has touching such worth estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give divide and dispose of the same in the manner and form following.

First is my desire and will is that all my just debts and funeral charges will honestly paid by my executors herein named Francis Rolinson my brother and my son William ROLINSON whom I ordain and constitute and appoint.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my son William ROLINSON one hundred and forty acres land on Hatteras banks joining the south most line of Robert BURROWS land.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jean fifty acres of land being the remainder of the portion mentioned.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Jean ROLINSON the plantation thereon and containing one hundred and fifteen acres and after her death pass to my son Christopher ROLINSON.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Jean ROLINSON all my moveables during her life and after her decease to my son Christopher ROLINSON.

Whereof I do by these presents revoke and disanul and disallow all other will and testaments and no other to be my last will and testament, pronounced and sealed and delivered in the presents of us.
