Thomas Quidley

In the name of God Amen, I Thomas QUIDLEY, of Cape Hatterass, Pilot, being in perfect helth of body and perfect mind and memory, Thanks be given unto God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say, principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent christian burial at the discression of my executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased god to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form

First I give and bequeath to my well beloved Wife Elizabeth QUIDLEY during her natural life my house and twenty five acres of land and after her death to my well and beloved Son Bartlet QUIDLEY.

I also give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Elizabeth QUIDLEY during her widdowhood my negro wench Rose, my horse, my houshold furniture except two beds, likewise my pereaugar two cows and calves to my Wife and after her widdowhood I leave my houshold furniture my two cows and calves to my two Daughters Margret QUIDLEY and Sally QUIDLEY.

I give and bequeath to my two beloved Sons John QUIDLEY and Demsey QUIDLEY my porlot boat and matarriels one cow and calf and one bed a peice and after my beloved Wife widdowhood I leave my negro wench Rose and my horse to the mutial help of my children.

I also give and bequeath to my two beloved Sons Joseph and Natty [Nathaniel] QUIDLEY fifty acres of land lying and being on the Green Island and one heiffer a piece.

I leave my sheep to be eaquelly divided amongst four of my children that is Joseph QUIDLEY, Natty QUIDLEY, Margret QUIDLEY, and Sally QUIDLEY.

I also leave fifty acres of land lying and being on the south west side of Kings Point joining the Indian line to be sold and eaquelly divided amongst all my children.

I likewise constitute make and ordain Demsey QUIDLEY and my Wife Elizabeth QUIDLEY executor of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testament wills legacies bequests and executors by me in any ways before named willed and bequeathed satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this and eleventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Thomas QUIDLEY as his Last Will and Testament in the presents of us
