In the name of God, Amen. I Robert POYNER of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being in health at this present, and of a disposing mind and memory, and knowing the uncertainty of this life, and minded to make this my Last Will and Testament, in the following manner.

Iprimis. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Barbara POYNER one negro by the name Pleasant and her child, by name Jack, and all her increase from this date, also two negro girls by name Silvey and Amey, and their increase, to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I lend unto my beloved Wife Mary POYNER one negro man by name James, also one negro woman by name Francis, during her natural life, and after her decease, I give the aforesaid negroes, James and Francis, to my Daughter Barbara POYNER, and her heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Barbara POYNER the one half of my personal estate, that shall be remaining at my decease, within doors and without doors off what kind or nature soever, to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give the other half of my personal estate that shall be remaining at my decease, to my beloved Wife Mary POYNER, that's within doors and without doors of what kind or nature soever, to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I lend the use and benefit of one half of my land and plantation, to be equally divided by a direct straight line east and west, to contain my dwelling house and other out houses, to my beloved Wife Mary POYNER, during her natural life and no longer.

Item. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Barbara POYNER the whole of my land and plantation, whereon I now live, after the decease of my Wife Mary, to her and her heirs forever.

Item. My will and desire is that if my Daughter Barbara POYNER should die without lawful issue, that the whole of the property both real and personal, that were divided to Barbara POYNER to go to Julia PHILIPS Wife of Samuel PHILIPS and her heirs forever.

Lastly, I constitute, nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Mary whole and sole executrix to this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and annuling all other will or wills by me made from the date of these presents. In witness whereof I have affixed my hand and seal at Currituck the 2d of April, Anno Domini 1804.
