In the name of God Amen, I Adam POYNER of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina ben very sick and weak and of perfet mind and memory Thanks be given unto God, cauling unto mind the mortality of my body knowing that it is apointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testement, that is to say, principley and first of all I gave and recomend my sole into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recomend to the earth.

First I gave and bequeath to my Sons Evan POYNER and Isiah POYNER the peace of land where I now live to be equally to be divided by a line runing east and west Isiah to have the northermost part, to them and their hears forever.

Item I leave the land whear Adam my Sun lived to be sold except he returns my bond.

Item I gave unto my Grandsun Whitust POYNER the land whear on my Sun Peter lived begining at the cart road that goes to William FISHER thence westerly with said FISHERs line to Joseph BAXTERs corner tree thence southerly with Brother Joel line to a gum thence easterdly to a poine that I marked for Peters line thence to a persimmon tree thence to a pare tree thence to the first station to him and his hears for ever.

Item I leave one hundred ackers of Juniper swamp to be sold lying wisterly of John TAYLORs line.

Item I give and bequeath to my loving Wife Dianah POYNER all the land that I have before given during her life thin to asend to the first gifts then I give all the residue of my estate within dors and without to my loving Wife to her one youse and purpose for ever.

In witness I have hear hearunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight.
