Currituck County Wills

Sivility Parker
February 18, 1881

In the name of God Amen. I Sivility PARKER of the county of Currituck, State of North Carolina, being of sound disposing mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit:

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved children Mahala BALLANCE, A.J. BALLANCE, Caleb BALLANCE, Sivility BRUMSEY and the heirs of Utility HUGHS all of my property of every discription both real and personal Share and share alike, that is to say to Mahala BALLANCE one share, A.J. BALLANCE one share, Caleb BALLANCE one share, Sivility BRUMSEY one share, and the heirs of Utility HUGHS to wit. Elizabeth HUGHS, Sarah HUGHS, and Isaac HUGHS one share, to them and their heirs forever.

Item: The notes I hold against Isaac BOSWOOD the husband of my daughter Sally, are to be returned to said Isaac BOSWOOD, as the portion of my daughter Sally.

Item: I nominate constitute and appoint my son A.J. BALLANCE, executor to this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th of Feby. 1881

Signed and sealed and declared by the Testatrix as her last will and testament, and we at her request and in her presence and the presence of each other have signed our names as witness thereto
