The Last Will and Testament of James PARKER follows In Hoc Verba.

North Carolina Currituck in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty nine the twenty ninth of February.

In the name of God Amen, I James PARKER of the County of Currituck being very sick and weak of body tho of a perfect mind and memory Thanks be to God for the same do make and this my Last Will and Testament in the form and manner as followeth vizt: First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God that gave it to me hoping that it may ___ aceptance in thine ever- lasting kingdom knowing that my blessed redeemer ever liveth to make intercassion for us and as to my body to be buried in a christain like manner at the discretion of my executors here- after mentioned.

My will and desire is that all my debts be paid.

Item: I give to my dear loving Wife five pounds current and lawful money of Carolina.

Item: I give to my Son Azrekam PARKER one brinded cow and her increase and two ewes and lambs.

Item: I give to my Son James PARKER one black and white cow with a blaze face and her increase and two ewes and lambs.

Item: I give to my Daughter Rachel BROWN two young heifers

Item: I give to my Daughter Sarah GAMEWELL one red cow named Juday with her increase.

Item: I give to my Daughter Money PARKER one white hore (sic) named Swann.

Item: I give to my Daughter Lydia MIDGETT one shilling sterling money.

Item: I give the use of my great brass kettle to my three Sons Azrekam, James and Thomas PARKER.

Item: I give to my Son Thomas PARKER one fourth part of all my corn that was made and the remainder part to Azrekam, James, Sarah, Rachel and Mary PARKER.

Item: I give to my Son Thomas PARKER my land lying and being in Cowanjock to him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten.

Item: I give to my Son Thomas PARKER all the remainder part of my estate within doors and without that I have not already given away in the other gifts, excepting four steers.

I do appoint Azrekam PARKER and Thomas PARKER to be my executors to this my Last Will and Testament, utterly annulling all others.
